21 Days of Rhyming #21

Day21: Woke up early, heard the Prime Ministers address to the Nation. Looks like I am going to be working from home till May. Even though I have got more time to continue writing, I guess this will my last post for sometime. Reasons: Initially I thought would be easy to do it everyday, but it takes too much of my time to even write few lines so maybe once a week or month is what I want to continue; also just like I tried this I want to try out something new, maybe reading or playing an instrument.

There were days where I couldn’t write and completed the post next day or completed two to three on the same day (like today). Just to keep it going. The fact that I was able to reach the end is itself a milestone for me. When I publish this today I will sleep a sound sleep.

Since this is the last post and there was a day when I didn’t write anything of my own, will have two pieces so that I reach the count of 21. It has been 2 days I have had it half written, I will surely finish it today.

Promise

On a not so starry sleepless night,
Let’s do this thing. I may, I might.
Was the decision that led to this,
And today is the end of that promise.

In the process I have differently grown,
I’m aware of things that I hadn’t known.
About myself, in and out.
I have heard my mind’s loudest shout.

The reason that started this marathon,
Is not same as the reason to go on.
So will slow down now, have redeemed my pledge
But will always come back, when I’m on the edge.

काफी है

बांध ने रोका है नदी का प्रवाह
पानी ठहरा है, पर गहरा है, काफी है |
उनके फैसलों पर अगर उठते हैं सवाल,
मनन में ही सही, सवालों का होना काफी है |
